Trânsito de formas e transculturação na linguagem pop

This article analyzes a series of works belonging to what we call pop language, in the fields of the visual arts, literature and music. More specifically: the plastic arts of Andy Warhol, the writings of William Burroughs and the songs of Kurt Cobain. All authors of the English language, though that is not necessarily their medium of expression. We aim at sketching out some traces of flux and resistance between those works, in anintersemiotic and transcultural process which seems to demonstrate a form of translation – considered here in a broader spectrum, that supersedes the traditional dichotomy original/translation of the translator text-to-text craft. We name this phenomenon, for the present time, transit of forms. As the text was produced, we counted on the aid of other translation theorists such as Alice Maria Araújo Ferreira (2013), Paul Ricoeur (2011), Walter Benjamin (2012) e Roland Walter (2010) – while also appropriating a particular text with little initial link to translation theory, by George Didi-Huberman (2011) –, always conscious of dilating the concepts of translation into broader horizons, both political and aesthetical.
