Back (2020) proposed an alternative model of the IDF equation based on the disaggregation of daily rain, which presents as advantages the better precision of the estimation of the intensities in relation to the disaggregated data and the ease of updating the IDF equation. Therefore, the objective of this work was to propose and evaluate the performance of IDF equations adjusted to the alternative model. For this, historical series of maximum daily rainfall were constructed and adjusted to probability distributions based on data from rainfall gauge station located in the municipalities of Fortaleza and Quixeramobim. The parameters of the IDF equations were adjusted according to the methodology of Back (2020). The quality of the adjustment of the parameters was verified by calculating the NASH, EPE coefficient and analyzing the sum of the squares of the deviations. The equations were compared equations raised in the literature adjusted for the regions. The model presented good results, standing out in relation to the traditional model with regard to the quality of the adjustment of the IDF equations to the disaggregated rainfall intensities.
