This paper discusses the use of simulation in the teaching of engineering production. Simulation is a tool where you build scenarios and situations that encourage problem solving by the student who tries to resolve them by developing their creativity and autonomy. This article brings together works that involve simulation and engineering education production of two major events, and enegep simpep in a bibliometric study, in order to emphasize productivity in relation to this issue, as well as key authors, institutions and regions of publications. Were chosen keywords based on the theme and was made a selection of articles in the annals of, between the years 2005-2012, yielding 72 articles. With the articles obtained comparisons were made in graphics addressing the amount of articles on the issue between the years, the congress, the authors, the institutions, the themes and regions. From the results obtained, we can see a trend of centralization of publications of institutions in the south and southeast.
