This work approaches on questions to the study of the libraries users necessities driving at the UFC Technology and Sciences Library. The study stands out the improvement of the offering services, focusing the importance of the automation process of the routines, aiming at a bigger speed in the attendance and the rendering services. It presents the software Pergamum implanted by the UFC libraries system and look for knowing the opinion of the users in relation to the automation loan with the intention to get subsidies to evaluate the adequacy of software to the necessities of the same ones. It presents research that purpose to detect the strong and weak points of the loan, looking for giving support to the future administrative resolutions as well as, collect suggestions of the users for the improvement of the service. The results show that although the real difficulties of the automation, it was considered satisfactory. The files became shorter and the concept attributed by the users was in a scale of “good” to “satisfactory”.
