Resumo: This paper presents the methodological stages through a report of experience about planning and carrying out a course by e-learning on Mendeley reference manager, whose lessons were available on Google Classroom. It discusses the theoretical basis upon Mendeley by reading publications which approach it as a tool of the Web 2.0 and also comparing it with others reference managers, as EndNote and Zotero. Nethnography was used as scientific method, and participant observation as strategy to collect data, beside the discourse of the collective subject on virtual communities of researches. It also presents the reach of Mendeley based on Search Engine Optimization, and the Google Trends was used as a tool aiming to compare the reach of reference managers around the world according to searches made on Google. After that, it approaches the content produced to online video lessons through softwares that were used at recording and editing them, as well as showing the proposal of activities, the access statistics and the length of videos, which were uploaded onto the YouTube. It concludes partially by presenting the main doubts shared on online class, pointing out that there will be academic productions in the future based on the answers which have been obtained through an evaluation questionnaire sent after ending of the course.

Discute o aporte teórico acerca do Mendeley com base em publicações que o inserem no contexto acadêmico da Web 2.0 e que trazem um comparativo com os gerenciadores EndNote e Zotero. Utiliza a pesquisa netnográfica como método e a observação participante como estratégia de coleta de dados, aliada ao discurso do sujeito coletivo em comunidades virtuais de pesquisadores. Comprova o amplo alcance do Mendeley a partir das técnicas de Search Engine Optimization, onde a ferramenta Google Trends foi utilizada com o objetivo de comparar, nacional e internacionalmente, o alcance dos gerenciadores de referências demonstrados nos resultados de busca do Google. Aborda o conteúdo produzido para as videoaulas do treinamento online, destacando os softwares de gravação e edição, as atividades propostas, o quantitativo de acesso e o tempo de duração dos vídeos postados no YouTube.
