Culturas disciplinares: influências na produção do gênero artigo acadêmico

Considering that each disciplinary area perceives, recognizes and constructs the genre according to its purposes, the present work aims to promote a discussion about the disciplinary variations in the academic community through the analysis of the References section in academic articles in different areas. In order to carry out this debate, we will take as research material recent research linked to the DILETA research group, which has been treating the academic article genre in its disciplinary specificities, such as: the socio-rhetorical description of the experimental article genre in the proposed Linguistic area by Costa (2015); the socio-rhetorical analysis carried out by Pacheco (2016) in original articles in the area of Nutrition; and the socio-rhetorical description of empirical articles from the area of Psychology suggested by Abreu (2016). The studies presented here are based on the theoretical-methodological conceptions of Swales (1990/2004) regarding academic genres, following the CARS (Create a Research Space) model from the outset, from which it was possible to describe a prototypical rhetorical configuration for the articles analysed. In relation to the disciplinary variations, we are based on the concept of disciplinary culture postulated by Hyland (2000). Through the analysis of the References section in these disciplinary areas, we have shown that although the specimens of the genres are published in Portuguese language, they follow different orientations, showing different socio-rhetorical configurations.
