Procurando agulha no palheiro em busca de fraseologismos em dois livros didáticos de português

The purpose of this article is to present the survey carried out on the occurrence of phraseology in sections of two didactic books from the 7th year of Elementary School. The theoretical phraseological current adopted is based on Mejri (1997; 2012), Antunes (2012), Pontes (2011) and Monteiro-Plantin (2017), regarding the treatment of lexical teaching from textbooks and dictionaries. The methodology used was content analysis, whose sample collection technique was supported by the search in two textbooks (DELMANTO; CARVALHO, 2018; CORDEIRO, 2018) for phraseological units in the main texts of each book unit and in the boxes entitled ‘Dictionary’ and ‘Vocabulary’. The results found point to the low frequency of phraseology in the two analyzed books. A more thorough analysis of this result leads to the understanding that the phraseological units, despite constituting a relevant quantity of the lexicon, are still little explored in Portuguese language teaching.
