O campo de pesquisa em educação musical da Universidade Federal do Ceará: a praxiologia desvelando a formação de um campo

Resumo: | From the political conjuncture that culminated in Law nº 11.769, the courses of music in higher education in Brazil were expanded. In this way, there is some stability from the field of Music Education and, consequently, from the field of research related to educational-musical contexts. Indeed, in Ceará, the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), since 2007, has set up three higher education courses in Music and in the Music Teaching Thematic Axis (Etem), belonging to the Education, Curriculum and Teaching Line (Lece) of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) of the Faculty of Education (Faced) of UFC. Acting as a student, teacher or researcher in the Degree in Music at UFC, Campus Cariri, and in the aforementioned graduate program (PPGE from Faced/UFC), I was able to observe the relevance of Etem for the formation and consolidation of a field of research in Music in Ceará. Therefore, I define this work as a study on the formation of the field of research in Music Education outlined by Etem. As a theoretical reference, I use the concepts of field, habitus and capitals, developed by the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, as well as the reflections (by this and other authors) that deal with the processes of autonomization of the field. As it is part of my object of study, I present Bourdieusian praxiology as a methodological contribution, understanding it as capable of revealing the structures that operate in the field of research in Music Education at Etem and are responsible, to a large extent, for inculcating in its agents a certain habitus. It is understood that, conversely, these structures can also be modified by the dispositions (habitus) of these same agents. It is this complexity that presents itself in the locus of this work. Supported by the reflective character of Bourdieusian praxiology, qualitative research is used, as one of its premises is to understand the processes of formation of social contexts and agents, that is, to understand the field. This is how the qualitative conception approaches the referential Pierre Bourdieu's theoretical/methodological approach. In this sense, some data were collected by the insertion of the researcher as an agent/subject of the studied field, including interviews, class notes, participation in qualification boards and defenses, resembling what is configure as participant observation. Other information comes from theses and dissertations produced by Etem and Prof-Artes, which established themselves as documentary sources essential for the development of this research. With these data, we performed two analysis procedures: an initial one, carried out for the second qualification and called pre-analysis, and another made for the final writing of the thesis, which proposes to respond to the wishes of its researcher. That said, anchored in the theoretical/methodological contribution adopted and experiencing the field from the actions as an agent/researcher, the objective of this research, namely: to analyze the formation of the research field in Education UFC Musical from the implementation of Faced's PPGE Etem. With that, it was confirmed the following thesis: Etem was the element of redefining the field of research in Music Education at the Federal University of Ceará. |

Desse modo, ocorre certa consolidação do campo da Educação Musical e, consequentemente, do campo de pesquisa relacionado aos contextos educativo-musicais. Com efeito, no Ceará, a Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), a partir de 2007, instaurou três cursos superiores em Música e instituiu o Eixo Temático Ensino de Música (Etem), pertencente à Linha Educação, Currículo e Ensino (Lece) do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação (PPGE) da Faculdade de Educação (Faced) da UFC. Atuando como discente, docente ou pesquisador no curso de Licenciatura em Música da UFC, Campus Cariri, e no programa de pós-graduação citado (PPGE da Faced/UFC), pude observar a relevância do Etem para a formação e consolidação de um campo de pesquisa em Música no Ceará. Assim sendo, defino este trabalho como um estudo sobre a formação do campo de pesquisa em Educação Musical delineado pelo Etem. Como referencial teórico, utilizo-me dos conceitos de campo, habitus e capitais, desenvolvidos pelo sociólogo Pierre Bourdieu, bem como das reflexões (desse e de outros autores) que tratam dos processos de autonomização do campo. Por estar inserida no meu objeto de estudo, apresento a praxiologia bourdieusiana como aporte metodológico, entendendo-a como capaz de desvelar as estruturas que operam no campo de pesquisa em Educação Musical do Etem e são responsáveis, em grande medida, por inculcar nos seus agentes um determinado habitus. Compreende-se que, em sentido inverso, essas estruturas também podem ser modificadas pelas disposições (habitus) desses mesmos agentes. É essa complexidade que se apresenta no locus deste trabalho. Aportado pelo caráter reflexivo da praxiologia bourdieusiana, utiliza-se da investigação qualitativa, pois ela tem como uma de suas premissas compreender os processos de formação de contextos sociais e agentes, ou seja, compreender o campo. É assim que a concepção qualitativa se aproxima do referencial teórico/metodológico de Pierre Bourdieu. Nesse sentido, alguns dados foram coletados pela própria inserção do pesquisador como agente/sujeito do campo estudado, entre eles entrevistas, notas de aula, participações em bancas de qualificações e defesas, assemelhando-se ao que se configura como observação participante. Outras informações são provenientes de teses e dissertações produzidas pelo Etem e Prof-Artes, que se estabeleceram como fontes documentais primordiais para o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa. De posse desses dados, foram realizados dois procedimentos de análise: um inicial, realizado para a segunda qualificação e denominado de pré-análise, e outro feito para a escrita final da tese, que propõe responder os anseios de seu pesquisador. Isso posto, ancorado na contribuição teórica/metodológica adotada e experienciando o campo a partir das ações enquanto agente/pesquisador, foi alcançado o objetivo desta pesquisa, qual seja: analisar a formação do campo de pesquisa em Educação Musical da UFC a partir da implantação do Etem do PPGE da Faced.
