Resumo: The present study corresponds to a part of the project Symbolic Spaces of the Latin Carnival: Heritage Mapping of the Theatricality of Tourist Cities. The theme seeks an approach between geometric theory of fractals and the cognitive and conceptual mapping processes. It is intended to explore the possibilities of cultural analysis of allegories, such as scenic structures of carnival parades. The work brings together images from several South American countries in a comparative cultural approach. As the stages of the study show a recreation of faces of the figure of Rei Momo as a catalyst for collective creativity in several carnival cities in the continent. Firstly, by identifying cars and figures in fractal reading, after the conceptual indicators of power. Finally, it deepens comparative reflections regarding this theatricality in Momo's claims, in his South American national contexts.

El tema busca acercar la teoría de los fractales geométricos a los procesos de cartografía cognitiva y conceptual. Se busca explorar las posibilidades de análisis cultural de alegorías como estructuras escénicas de desfiles de carnaval, recopilando imágenes de carnavales de diferentes países de América del Sur en un enfoque cultural comparativo. Las etapas del estudio muestran la recreación de las caras de la figura de Rei Momo como un catalizador para la creatividad colectiva en varias ciudades de carnaval en el continente, inicialmente mediante la identificación de automóviles y disfraces en la lectura fractal. Finalmente, profundiza reflexiones comparativas sobre esta teatralidad en sus contextos nacionales sudamericanos.O presente estudo corresponde a uma parte do projeto “Espaços Simbólicos do Carnaval Latino: Mapeamento Patrimonial da Teatralidade de Urbes Turísticas”. O tema busca aproximar a teoria da Geométrica dos Fractais aos processos de mapeamento cognitivo e conceitual. Pretende-se explorar as possibilidades de análise cultural das alegorias como estruturas cênicas de desfiles carnavalescos reunindo imagens dos carnavais de diferentes países sul-americanos numa abordagem cultural comparativa. As etapas do estudo mostram a recriação das faces da figura de Rei Momo como personagem catalizador da criatividade coletiva em diversas cidades carnavalescas do continente, inicialmente por identificação de carros e figurinos em leitura fractal, depois por indicadores conceituais de poder.
