Teacher education in an online environment: critical literacy in the portuguese language classroom

Resumo: This paper analyzes how the listening/speaking and reading/writing practices happen from the perspective of Portuguese Language teachers, through training actions for Basic Education teachers in the context of pandemic, from the perspective of Critical Literacy. The research is based on qualitative studies in Applied Linguistics, regarding research-education, under the viewpoint of interpretativist analysis. Based on the theoretical assumptions of Monte Mór (2013), Street (2014), Sardinha (2018) and Alencar (2021), the corpus of analysis gathers the data produced through participant observation and by the extracts of materials produced by the teachers of the research project entitled “Critical Education of Language Teachers in Online Environments”. It is acknowledged, in this regard, the need, increasingly latent, of a classroom practice contextualized to the epistemological principles of critical training of subjects for acting and social transformation.

A pesquisa filia-se aos estudos qualitativos em Linguística Aplicada, no que se refere a pesquisa-formação, sob o prisma da análise interpretativista. Com base nos pressupostos teóricos de Monte Mór (2013), Street (2014), Sardinha (2018) e Alencar (2021), o corpus de análise agrega os dados produzidos por meio de observação participante e pelos excertos de materiais produzidos pelos professores-pesquisadores do projeto de pesquisa intitulado “Formação Crítica de Professores de Linguagem em Ambientes On-line”.
