Resumo: | In this study, we problematize the argumentative work of pre-digital and digital texts, markedly passionate, which aim to act on the interlocutor through the mobilization of emotions. This investigation articulates concepts from text, discursive and enunciation theories. We support the hypothesis that, in the argumentation field, the search for agreement (or disagreement) can be a point of generation of emotion, mainly anchored in the preferable, that is, in the field of values and beliefs, which are empathically mobilized. By comparing suicide letters and Instagram posts, we aim, therefore, to discuss what kind of argumentative orientation is explored by enunciators in their productions. The analysis results indicate that the discourses are built in a very similar way in regard to the articulation of points of view and choice of the types of arguments (real/preferable) with a language action targeted by the subjects. In the discursive genres that appeal to the sensitive, there seems to have a much more significant issue regarding the use of values, facts, and evidence within the argumentative orientations. Bringing or questioning values and interests would also be a way to bring emotion to the discourse and to empathically defend points of view. |

Teoricamente, este estudo articula conceitos provenientes das teorias de texto, do discurso e da enunciação. Sustentamos a hipótese de que, no campo da argumentação, a busca pelo acordo (ou desacordo) pode ser um ponto de geração de emoção, principalmente ancorada no preferível, ou seja, no campo dos valores e das crenças, que são empaticamente mobilizados. Objetivamos, assim, discutir, pela comparação entre carta de suicídio e postagem no Instagram, que tipo de orientação argumentativa é explorada pelos enunciadores. Os resultados da análise indicam que os textos são construídos de forma muito similar, no sentido de articulação dos pontos de vista e escolha dos tipos de argumentos (real/preferível) com a ação de linguagem visada pelos sujeitos. Nos gêneros discursivos que apelam para o sensível, parece haver uma problemática muito maior quanto ao uso de valores, dos fatos e das provas no interior das orientações argumentativas.
