Resumo: This work was carried out from July 2013 to February 2014 at the Experimental Farm Rafael Fernandes, of the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid, Mossoró-RN, in order to determine the agro-economic advantages of carrot and cowpea-vegetable in intercropping under different spatial arrangements and population densities. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with four replications, with the treatments arranged in a 3 x 4 factorial scheme. The first factor was composed of spatial arrangements (2: 2, 3: 3 and 4: 4) and the second factor by the population densities of cowpea-vegetables (100%, 80%, 60% and 40% of the recommended population in sole crop - RPSC). Green manure was made with the incorporation of 51 t ha-1 on a dry basis of roostertree in pre-planting and at 60 days after planting. The characteristics evaluated for carrot were: plant height, total and commercial productivity of roots, fresh mass of shoot, dry mass of roots and classified productivity of roots. For the cowpea-vegetables were evaluated the following characteristics: number of green pods, pod length, yield of green pods, number of green grains per pod, weight of 100-green grains and productivity of green grains. The indices of competition and agro-economic efficiency of intercropping systems assessed were: Aggressivity, competition rate, loss of actual yield, intercropping advantage, land equivalent ratio, productive efficiency index and score of the canonical variable. It was also evaluated the following economic indicators: gross income, net income, rate of return and profit margin. The agro-economic efficiency of carrot and cowpea-vegetable in intercropping system was influenced by the spatial arrangements, with the arrangement 2: 2 standing out from the others. The highest agro-economic efficiency of carrot and cowpea-vegetable in intercropping system was obtained in population density of 90% for cowpea-vegetable in sole crop when the score of the canonical variable had a value of 1.16 and the productive efficiency index of 0.75

O delineamento experimental utilizado foi de blocos completo casualizados com 4 repetições, com os tratamentos arranjados em esquema fatorial 3x4. O primeiro fator foi constituído pelos arranjos espaciais (2:2; 3:3 e 4:4) e o segundo fator pelas densidades populacionais de caupi-hortaliça (100%, 80%, 60% e 40% da população recomendada no cultivo solteiro). A adubação verde foi feita com a incorporação de 51 t ha-1 em base seca de flor-de-seda no pré-plantio e 60 dias após o plantio. As características avaliadas para a cenoura foram: altura de plantas, produtividade total e comercial de raízes, massa fresca da parte aérea, massa seca de raízes e produtividade classificada de raízes. Para o caupi-hortaliça foram avaliadas as seguintes características: número de vagens verdes, comprimento das vagens, produtividade de vagens verdes, número de grãos verdes por vagem, peso de 100 grãos verdes e produtividade de grãos verdes. Os índices de competição e de eficiência agroeconômica dos sistemas consorciados avaliados foram: índice de superação, taxa de competição, perda de rendimento real, vantagem do consórcio, índice de uso eficiente da terra, índice de eficiência produtiva e escore da variável canônica. Foram avaliados os seguintes indicadores econômicos: renda bruta, renda líquida, taxa de retorno e índice de lucratividade. A eficiência agroeconômica do sistema consorciado de cenoura com caupi-hortaliça foi influenciada pelos arranjos espaciais, com o arranjo 2:2 sobressaindo-se dos demais. A maior eficiência agroeconômica do sistema consorciado de cenoura com caupi-hortaliça foi obtida na densidade populacional de 90% da PRCS quando o escore da variável canônica foi otimizado no valor de 1,16 e o índice de eficiência produtiva foi de 0,75Outra2017-01-10application/pdfhttp://repositorio.ufersa.edu.br/retrieve/1419/GiorgioMR_TESE.pdf.jpgporUniversidade Federal Rural do Semi-ÁridoPrograma de Pós-Graduação em FitotecniaUFERSABrasilCC-BY-SAinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessDaucus carotaVigna unguiculataSistemas consorciadosDaucus carotaVigna unguiculataIntercropping systemCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::AGRONOMIAVantagens agroeconômica do consórcio de cenoura e caupi-hortaliça sob arranjos espaciais e densidades populacionaisAgro-economic benefits of carrot and cowpea-vegetables in intercropping under spatial arrangements and population densitiesinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/doctoralThesisreponame:Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações da UFERSAinstname:Universidade Federal Rural do Semi-Árido (UFERSA)instacron:UFERSAORIGINALGiorgioMR_TESE.pdfGiorgioMR_TESE.pdfapplication/pdf2083623https://repositorio.ufersa.edu.br//bitstream/tede/603/1/GiorgioMR_TESE.pdfc062c480814fefe06ef42cec2f593a9cMD51LICENSElicense.txtlicense.txttext/plain;
