DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.13071/regec.2317-5087.2013.2.2.4648.123-150The purpose of this paper is to analyze the workers´ involvement in production management, showing how this issue has evolved over the years, both from the standpoint of management, as of critical approaches. For this end, a literature review was conducted, involving both classic texts in which the involvement of employees in production management is discussed, as on more recent research on the topic.In the 1980s, there was a sign of significant changes in employee involvement with the production management, however, recent studies suggest that these progressed to a certain point, but then stabilized.
