ENSINO E APRENDIZAGEM DA LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA NA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA: HISTORICIDADE E CONTEMPORANEIDADE EM CHAVE CRÍTICA

Resumo: This article takes up studies on the historical constitution of the subject Portuguese language in Brazilian schooling. It is proposed to show that different conceptions of language in use / language, of the subject and development give rise to different pedagogical practices. It also considers that in the current days there has been an emptying of the understanding of the language in use / language, socio-historical-culturally produced, which results in an erasure of the enunciative-discursive dimension of language. It aims to contribute to the critical analysis of this process and for that reason some central elements are taken up, related to the defense of school education as necessary for omnilateral training and human emancipation – which permeates the appropriation and objectification of knowledge about language in its complexity. The essay also intends to contribute to this awareness, and in this way are presented, systematized and updated discussions on Historical-Cultural Psychology related to teaching and learning of mother tongue in basic education.

Propõe-se evidenciar que diferentes concepções de língua/linguagem, de sujeito e desenvolvimento dão origem a diferentes práticas pedagógicas. Considera que atualmente tem havido um esvaziamento da compreensão da língua/linguagem, socio-histórico-culturalmente produzida, que acarreta um apagamento da dimensão enunciativo-discursiva da linguagem. O objetivo é contribuir com a análise crítica deste processo e por isso retomam-se alguns elementos centrais, afins à defesa da educação escolar como necessária à formação omnilateral e à emancipação humana – o que perpassa a apropriação e objetivação de conhecimentos sobre a linguagem em sua complexidade.
