Manejo alimentar de juvenis de acará-bandeira (Pterophyllum scalare)

Resumo: The angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare), is among the ornamental species more known and marketed due to its beauty and docility, and also adapts to various production systems. The types of crops are varied and often nonstandard each producer being owner of a cultivation and food. In the ornamental market animals are sold commonly per unit, a larger animal, more beautiful and exotic, is consequently more expensive. Proper feed management for young forms is still an issue that needs to be evaluated. Thus the objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of restriction and feeding frequency on growth performance, flag discus (P. scalare). The experiment was conducted at the Laboratório de nutrição e produção de espécies ornamentais, no Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo - Campus Alegre. Were used 288 juvenile angelfish with an average weight 516,0mg and average length of 1,86cm distributed into 48 experimental units. The experimental units were 6L capacity, with constant aeration and 6 animals per experimental unit. Three restriction periods have been tested (fed every day, every two days and four days) and four power frequency (once daily, twice daily, four times daily, six times daily), featuring a factorial 3x4, with four replications, totaling 48 experimental units. The treatments were combined and distributed randomly, using DIC. For analysis of the results we used the statistical program Sisvar 5.6. The animals were subjected to treatment dietary restriction were those that showed significant results for almost all variables. Animals that had a better performance were those that were not subject to any restriction, with a weight gain of157,82a±31,15 relatively greater than four days restriction, 33,29b±20,57. Fish fed once a day and had unrestricted feed 3,21a±0,98 and 2,75a±0,55, respectively, although no significant effect on this variable. Results for survival was only significant for the restriction effect, where the animals without restriction showed survival 98,61b±4,81, and the animals four days restriction showeda survival 79,17a±18,97. Ornamental fish are sold by size, and the total length in this experiment was significant for all purposes, both as a frequency constraint. unconstrained animals showed better results for this variable, 2,48a±0,16, and the frequency, the animals fed 4 times, were showing better results, 2,29b±0,28. The feed intake was significant only for the purpose food restriction. The higher feed intake was observed in animals that were not subject to restriction, worth 426,16a±60,61. A specific growth rate was significant only for the restriction effect, and as the feed intake, the best result for this variable was also for animals that were not subject to restriction, with a value of 1,68±0,31. The results of TEP (protein efficiency ratio) were not significant for any of the tested treatments. From the results obtained in this study suggest a daily diet to juvenile angelfish, the amount of treatment to be decided by the producer. However, for economic purposes, it is recommended to treat 1 time a day.

O acará bandeira (Pterophyllum scalare), está entre as espécies ornamentais mais conhecidas e comercializadas, devido a sua beleza e docilidade, bem como também se adaptar a vários sistemas de produção. As formas de cultivo são variadas e muitas vezes despadronizadas, sendo cada produtor dono de uma forma de cultivo e alimentação. No mercado ornamental os animais são vendidos por unidade, um animal maior e mais bonito, é, consequentemente mais caro. O manejo alimentar adequado para as formas jovens ainda é um parâmetro que precisa ser avaliado. Assim o objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a influência da restrição e freqüência alimentar no desempenho produtivo, do acará bandeira (P. scalare). O experimento foi conduzido no Laboratório de Nutrição e Produção de Espécies Ornamentais do Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo Campus de Alegre. Foram utilizados 288 juvenis de acará bandeira com peso médio de 561,0 mg e comprimento médio de 1,86 cm, distribuídos em 48 unidades experimentais. As unidades experimentais tinham capacidade de 6L, com aeração constante e com 6 animais por balde. Foram testados três períodos de restrição (alimentados todo dia, a cada dois dias e a cada quatro dias) e quatro freqüências de alimentação ( 1 vez ao dia, 2 vezes ao dia, 4vezes ao dia, 6 vezes ao dia), caracterizando um fatorial 3x4. Os tratamentos foram combinados e distribuídos de forma aleatória, utilizando DIC. Para análise dos resultados obtidos foi utilizado o programa estatístico Sisvar 5.6. Os animais submetidos a diferentes restrições alimentares mostram resultados significativos para quase todas as variáveis avaliadas. Os animais que tiveram um melhor desempenho foram os que não estavam submetidos a nenhuma restrição, tendo um ganho de peso de 157,82a±31,15, relativamente maior do que a restrição de quatro dias, 33,29b±20,57. Peixes alimentados uma vez ao dia e sem restrição apresentaram conversão alimentar 3,21a±0,98 e 2,75a±0,55, respectivamente, apesar de não haver efeito significativo nesta vairiável. Os resultados para sobrevivência só foi significativo para o efeito restrição, onde os animais sem restrição apresentaram sobrevivência de 98,61b±4,81, e os animais com quatro dias de restrição apresentaram uma sobrevivência de 79,17a±18,97. Peixes ornamentais são vendidos principalmente pelo tamanho, e neste experimento o comprimento total foi significativo para todos os efeitos, tanto restrição como frequência. Os animais sem restrição apresentaram melhor resultado para essa variável, 2,48a±0,16, e para a frequência, os animais alimentados 4 vezes, foram os que mostram melhor resultado, 2,29b± 0,28. O consumo de ração foi significativo apenas para o efeito restrição alimentar. O maior consumo de ração foi observado nos animais que não estavam sujeito a restrição, com valor de 426,16 a± 60,61. A taxa de crescimento específico também foi significativa apenas para o efeito restrição, e assim como o consumo de ração, o melhor resultado para essa variável também foi para os animais que não estavam sujeitos a restrição, com valor de 1,68 a±0,31. Os resultados da tep não foram significativos para nenhum dos tratamentos testados. A partir dos resultados obtidos neste trabalho, sugere-se uma alimentação diária aos juvenis de acará bandeira, sendo a quantidade de tratos a decidir pelo produtor.
