MEDICALIZATION AND UNIVERSITY DISCOURSE: for a policy of care and the student's education team

Resumo: We intend to discuss the prevalence of medical discourse in education - from school to university - as a device to control and exclude the subject - present in the demands of medicalization of mental and learning disorders, as well as the economic and political conditions that determine this phenomenon. For this, we will deal with the intervention of medical discourse and the naturalization and medicalization of psychic phenomena, driven by the objective of problematizing psychological suffering at school. The central issue of our discussion concerns the political dimension of suffering at school, which finds medicalization as the main means of support. Our argument points out that, in the opposite direction of this way of enjoying, suffering always makes us think of a history and a social and political framework that needs to be addressed in the face of everyday school practices.

Para ello, abordaremos la intervención del discurso médico y la naturalización y medicalización de los fenómenos psíquicos, impulsada por el objetivo de problematizar el sufrimiento psicológico en la escuela. El tema central de nuestra discusión se refiere a la dimensión política del sufrimiento en la escuela, que encuentra en la medicalización el principal medio de apoyo. Nuestro argumento señala que, en sentido contrario a esta forma de disfrutar, el sufrimiento siempre nos hace pensar en una historia y un marco social y político que hay que abordar en el enfrentamiento de las prácticas escolares cotidianas.Nous entendons discuter de la prédominance du discours médical dans l'éducation - de l'école à l'université - comme dispositif de contrôle et d'exclusion des sujets, présents dans les demandes de médicalisation des troubles mentaux et d'apprentissage, ainsi que des conditions économiques et politiques. qui déterminent ce phénomène. Pour lui, nous aborderons l'intervention du discours médical et la naturalisation et médicalisation des phénomènes psychiques, animés par l'objectif de problématiser la souffrance psychologique à l'école. Le thème central de notre discussion se réfère à la dimension politique du suffrage à l'école, qui inclut la médicalisation comme principal moyen de soutien. Notre deuxième argument est que, contrairement à cette forme de jouissance, on peut toujours penser à une histoire et à un cadre social et politique qu'il faut traiter face aux pratiques scolaires quotidiennesIntendiamo discutere la prevalenza del discorso medico nell'educazione - dalla scuola all'università - come dispositivo per controllare ed escludere materie, presenti nelle richieste di medicalizzazione dei disturbi mentali e dell'apprendimento, nonché condizioni economiche e politiche. che determinano questo fenomeno. Per lui ci avvicineremo all'intervento del discorso medico e alla naturalizzazione e medicalizzazione dei fenomeni psichici, guidati dall'obiettivo di problematizzare la sofferenza psicologica a scuola. Il tema centrale della nostra discussione si riferisce alla dimensione politica del suffragio a scuola, che include la medicalizzazione come principale mezzo di sostegno. Il nostro secondo argomento è che, contrariamente a questa forma di divertimento, possiamo sempre pensare a una storia e a un quadro sociale e politico che deve essere affrontato di fronte alle pratiche scolastiche quotidiane.Pretendemos discutir a prevalência do discurso médico na educação – da escola à universidade – como dispositivo de controle e exclusão do sujeito - presente nas demandas de medicalização de transtornos mentais e de aprendizagem, bem como os condicionantes econômicos e políticos determinantes desse fenômeno. Para tanto, trataremos da intervenção do discurso médico e da naturalização e medicalização dos fenômenos psíquicos, movidos pelo objetivo de problematizar o sofrimento psíquico na escola. A questão central de nossa discussão diz respeito à dimensão política do sofrimento na escola, esse que encontra como via principal de sustentação a medicalização.
