Resumo: This research aims to verify and analyze the scales used to measure innovation in the business context. As a methodology, it is a documentary research based on retrospective and contemporary documents (scales of innovation) scientifically validated and supported by studies published in the area of ??Administration, Accounting and Tourism. The survey phase of the articles was conducted by a bibliometric review, based on peer-reviewed articles, and the search was carried out on the Capes Platform based on the selection of texts related to the creation of scales and instruments to measure innovation in Micro and Small Companies between the periods from 2000 to 2016. The research results identified that in some models the innovation scales only contemplate the measurement of innovations in products and services, however in a competitive and complex environment, other innovative factors must be explored, such as, innovations in organizational processes and innovations in marketing strategies. The Redesist scales and the Innovation Radar were identified by the research as the most robust scale models. Thus, the research corroborates the existence of divergence in the way in which scales to measure innovation are used, in terms of content, dimensions and number of statements. In addition to pointing out a gap in the academy in terms and availability of tools to measure innovation in the Micro and Small Business environment.

Thus, the research corroborates the existence of divergence in the way in which scales to measure innovation are used, in terms of content, dimensions and number of statements. In addition to pointing out a gap in the academy in terms and availability of tools to measure innovation in the Micro and Small Business environment.
