Resumo: Research on the relationship between workplace mobbing and revenge thoughts in the literature is very limited. Therefore, this study aims to examine and better understand the relationships between these two variables. The sample for the study was collected from academicians who worked in higher education institutions. Correlation and hierarchical regression analysis were used to explore the relationships between variables in the study, and the results show statistically significant and positive relationships between mobbing and revenge thoughts. Moreover, it is noteworthy that mobbing has a high level of influence on revenge thoughts. Managerial and research implications and contributions of the study are discussed. Portanto, este estudo visa examinar e compreender melhor as relações entre estas duas variáveis. A amostra para o estudo foi coletada de acadêmicos que trabalhavam em instituições de ensino superior. Foram usadas correlações e análises de regressão hierárquica para explorar as relações entre as variáveis do estudo, e os resultados mostram relações estatisticamente significativas e positivas entre mobbing e pensamentos de vingança. Inclusive, é digno de nota que o assédio moral tem um alto nível de influência sobre os pensamentos de vingança. As implicações e contribuições gerenciais e de pesquisa do estudo são discutidas.
