Resumo: | The concept of alignment is emerging, companies can no longer wasting their resources on ill-conceivedstrategies, processes that do not meet the needs of clients or with people who do not understand or do not contributeto the achievement of company strategy. In the Construction companies this situation is not different, the competitionhas proved to be relevant. The justification for this work relates to the importance of strategy and reflexes of differentperceptions about the same within the organizations by their members, emphasizing also the limited amount ofstudies on the topics: strategic alignment and strategy in construction industry. It has been a research problem asmisalignment between the contents of the current strategy (perceived) in the competitive and functional level. Thisstudy was part of a dissertation, which consists of analyzing the strategic alignment in construction from the applicationof a method for analyzing, measuring and comparing / viewing the strategic alignment in construction companies,focusing on competitive strategy and strategy production, highlighting the criteria prioritized in competitive businesses.Studies multicasos were had in fourteen builders of the city of Fortaleza, selected by convenience and accessibility. Weanalyzed the companies from the application of the method. In each companies two representatives participatedin the survey, and their perceptions were confronted. This has resulted, ultimately, to a certain degree of alignment ineach company, enabling a comparison of results. Finally, we present the findings and suggestions for future researches. |

O conceito de alinhamento vem ganhado espaço visto o mercado competitivo em que as empresas então inseridas, estas não poderão mais desperdiçar seus recursos com estratégias mal formuladas, processos que não atendam às necessidades dos clientes ou com pessoas que não compreendam ou não contribuam para a realização da estratégia da empresa. Nas empresas de construção civil esta realidade não é diferente, a concorrência tem se mostrado relevante. A justificativa para este trabalho se relaciona com a importância da estratégia no contexto competitivo e os reflexos de percepções diferentes sobre a mesma dentro das organizações por parte de seus integrantes, destacando-se, também, a quantidade limitada de estudos sobre os temas: alinhamento estratégico e estratégia na indústria da construção civil. Tem-se como problema de pesquisa o desalinhamento entre o conteúdo da estratégia vigente (percebida) no nível competitivo e funcional. O presente estudo se encaixa: no domínio 2 (Escola de Implementação da Estratégia) do esquema conceitual de Venkatraman e Camillus (1984) para distinguir diferentes perspectivas de alinhamento estratégico, pois foca-se no conteúdo, nos elementos (critérios competitivos) a serem alinhados; e, no escopo de alinhamento interno (VASCONCELOS; CYRINO, 2000) e alinhamento vertical (KATHURIA; JOSHI; PORTH, 2007). Este trabalho se classifica como exploratório, visto que desenvolve estudos que dão uma visão geral do fenômeno estudado. Em geral, este tipo de estudo é realizado quando o tema escolhido é ainda pouco explorado, sendo difícil a formulação de hipóteses. Constitui-se em um primeiro passo para a realização de pesquisas mais profundas (OLIVEIRA, 2007). O presente estudo, parte de uma dissertação de mestrado em engenharia civil, consiste em analisar qual o alinhamento estratégico interno em construtoras a partir do desenvolvimento de um método para analisar, medindo e comparando/visualizando o alinhamento estratégico em empresas construtoras, focando na estratégia competitiva e na estratégia de produção, destacando quais os critérios competitivos priorizados nas empresas. Realizaram-se estudos multicasos, em catorze construtoras da cidade de Fortaleza/CE, selecionadas por critérios de conveniência e acessibilidade para o estudo. Analisaram-se as empresas a partir do método desenvolvido, proposto neste artigo. Em cada construtora dois representantes participaram da pesquisa, um de setor considerado mais estratégico (Diretoria) e outro mais operacional (Produção), sendo suas visões, percepções individuais, confrontadas. Chegou-se, por fim, à um determinado grau de alinhamento em cada empresa, possibilitando uma comparação e visualização dos resultados.
