Resumo: The CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) has emerged as a business practice that combines the intelligence of multiple partners in the planning and fulfillment of consumer demand, supported by collaborative activities in SC (supply chain). The methodology used was a theoretical study and a practical study of two cases of implementation and conduct of CPFR in a large food service company and a food distributor operating in Brazil, with the intention of examining how the management of demand and the relationship (based on the concept of collaborative management) influence the processes of implementation and operation of CPFR. The results highlight that for the CPFR demand forecast made by the coordination is more important than your understanding in SC, a collaborative culture is considered important in a relationship but not decisive for the implementation of processes, and monitoring activities is highlighted as crucial for alignment of business in conducting work in CPFR.
