Resumo: This dossier is a product of ethnographic research efforts focused on our institutions of Justice during the last three decades. Most of these were made from an interdisciplinary perspective, putting together Anthropologists, Sociologists and Legal Scholars. The emphasis on empirical research, characteristic of the social sciences, and strange to the teaching of Law in Brazil, brings to the fore a highly reflexive look at the functioning of the judiciary broadly speaking, aiming to reach a deeper understanding of meaningful questions for the field. La plupart de ces travaux ont été réalisés à partir d’une approche interdisciplinaire par des chercheurs ayant des formations en anthropologie, en droit et en sociologie. L’accent mis sur l’enquête de terrain, démarche familière aux sciences sociales mais étrangère à l’enseignement du droit au Brésil, établit ici un dialogue avec la formation doctrinale et dominante du droit. Cette démarche fait ressortir un regard hautement réflexif sur le fonctionnement du judiciaire, au sens large, dont l’objectif est d’explorer des questions considérées comme expressives du champ du droit en général.
