Resumo: Using a comparative approach, this study investigated the reality of women undergoing a security measure in Pará and the Federal District. For that purpose, an ethnography of and in documents concerning the processes of discursive (re)production that led to stigmatized conceptions about the relationship between women and madness was carried out. The documents accessed were the lawsuits, psychiatric and psychosocial reports that portray the internment and agencies of these women in the General Penitentiary Hospital of Pará and in the Psychiatric Treatment Ward of the Federal District. Attention was given, above all, to the problematization of the narratives about the danger attributed to them, as well as to the disputes between the legal and psychiatric knowledge-powers in the management of female bodies considered to be deviant.

Para tanto, foi realizada uma etnografia de e em documentos concernentes aos processos de (re)produção discursiva que conduziram às concepções estigmatizadas sobre a relação entre as mulheres e a loucura. Os documentos acessados foram os processos judiciais, laudos psiquiátricos e relatórios psicossociais que retratam as internações e os agenciamentos dessas mulheres no Hospital Geral Penitenciário do Pará e na Ala de Tratamento Psiquiátrico do Distrito Federal.
