The political media discourse under the lens of Semiolinguistics: analysis of a video by President Jair Bolsonaro on YouTube

The aim of this study is to demonstrate how the communication contract of political discourse is established in a YouTube video posted by the President of the Republic Jair Bolsonaro on September of 2020, updating information about the Bolsa Família assistance program. The analysis is configured in the semiolinguistic perspective of Discourse Analysis, developed by Patrick Charaudeau (2010, 2013, 2020). This research is classified as descriptive and bibliographical with a qualitative approach. As a result of the corpus analysis, we verified that the enunciating subject (EUe) uses situational clues and discursive strategies to persuade the spectator, persuading him of the veracity of his populist testimony.
