THE LANDLESS WORKERS' MOVEMENT: 40 YEARS OF HISTORY, STRUGGLE AND FORMATION

Based on a bibliographical and document review, this article analyses the Landless Rural Workers Movement, considering its historical constitution, main forms of organization and struggle banners up to the present time. To understand the emergence of the MST, we have made in incursion in the agrarian issue and the constitution of capitalism in the rural areas of Brazil. We discuss life, production and education in their settlements, demarcating the emergence of Agroecology and political education in this Movement that emerged from the peasant’s struggle and remains vital after 40 years.
