The relationship between Popular Lawyering and the Landless Rural Workers Movement in the struggle for Access to Justice

Resumo: This work aims to answer in what sense the Popular Lawyering guarantees access to justice to the Landless Rural Workers Movement, taking as an example the context of the Brazilian state Rio Grande do Sul. The conclusions were built inductively from literature review and semi-structured interviews with movement-activists, popular lawyers, and a movement-activist-lawyer whose content was analyzed by thematically and categorical manner. The main conclusion is that popular lawyering work as an interpreter between the two legal systems, a hegemonic and a counter-hegemonic, widening access tojustice from de insurgent actions of the Movement.

As conclusões foram construídas indutivamente, a partir de revisão bibliográfica e realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas com militantes do movimento, advogados populares e um militante-advogado, cujo conteúdo foi analisado de forma temática e categorial.
