Resumo: This short text that records the forty years of the Landless Workers Movement (MST) has a double objective. Firstly, it shows that throughout these four decades the struggle for agrarian reform expresses a continuity of the slaves' struggle for the right to land, but denied by the ruling class of the time. Secondly, alongside the fight for agrarian reform goes the fight for education, with the subjects of the countryside, with their culture, experiences and their struggles being the starting point. The arrival point is a complete human formation for a society without class domination. Keywords: MST, Agrarian Reform, slavery, education, class.

En primer lugar, muestra que a lo largo de estas cuatro décadas la lucha por la reforma agraria expresa una continuidad de la lucha de los esclavos por el derecho a la tierra, pero negada por la clase dominante de la época. En segundo lugar, junto a la lucha por la reforma agraria va la lucha por la educación, siendo el punto de partida los sujetos del campo, con su cultura, sus experiencias y sus luchas. El punto de llegada es una formación humana completa para una sociedad sin dominación de clases. Palabras clave: MST, Reforma Agraria, esclavitud, educación, clase.Este pequeno texto que registra os quarenta anos do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem Terra (MST) tem um duplo objetivo. Primeiro de mostrar de que ao longo destas quatro décadas a luta pela reforma agrária expressa uma continuidade da luta dos escravos pelo direito à terra, mas negada pela classe dominante da época. Em segundo lugar, junto à luta pela reforma agrária caminha a luta pela educação sendo os sujeitos do campo, com a sua cultura as experiências e as suas lutas o ponto de partida. O ponto de chegada uma formação humana por inteiro para uma sociedade sem dominação de classe.
