Resumo: The article aims to demonstrate the ways of building the relationship between the Church, the State and the Space in Mossoró (RN). This process has been growing in recent years, indicating institutional changes in religious denominations in order to consolidate their participation as agents in the conduct of society and politics, as well as in the production, appropriation and organization of space. For its elaboration, a research was carried out, given the exceptional situation resulting from the COVID-19 Pandemic, starting with a review of research methodologies and procedures, both in the Geography scope and in specific manuals. The main challenge was to carry out the verification contemplating non-participant observation, that is, the apprehension of visual data, information, documents and the execution of fields, reinforcing the sensitivity of the gaze, standardizing its focuses in order to focus on relevant issues. Este proceso ha ido creciendo en los últimos años, indicando cambios institucionales en las denominaciones religiosas con el fin de consolidar su participación como agentes en la conducción de la sociedad y la política, así como en la producción, apropiación y organización del espacio. Para su elaboración se realizó una investigación, dada la excepcional situación resultante de la Pandemia COVID-19, comenzando con una revisión de metodologías y procedimientos de investigación, tanto en el ámbito de Geografía como en manuales específicos. El principal desafío fue realizar la verificación contemplando la observación no participante, es decir, la aprehensión de datos visuales, información, documentos y la ejecución de campos, reforzando la sensibilidad de la mirada, estandarizando sus enfoques para enfocarse en temas relevantes. Como resultado, la observación de la expansión de las iglesias evangélicas, las relaciones que desarrollan en su vida diaria con el espacio y la política local, un modus operandi que, simbolizado en el discurso de la pervivencia de los valores religiosos, apunta a expandir su poder cambiando límites constitucionales y su materialización en y a través del espacio político, circunscrito por la acción de las instituciones y delimitado por reglas y estrategias preexistentes de política y coerción.Palabras clave: Espacio, Estado, Iglesia, Geografía Política.O artigo objetiva demonstrar o desenvolvimento de relações entre a Igreja, o Estado e o Espaço em Mossoró (RN). Esse processo revela-se crescente nos últimos anos indicando mudanças institucionais nas denominações religiosas a fim de consolidarem sua participação enquanto agentes na condução da sociedade e da política bem como na produção, apropriação e organização do espaço. Para sua elaboração, realizou-se uma pesquisa, dado a situação excepcional decorrente da Pandemia COVID-19, iniciando por revisão de metodologias e procedimentos de pesquisa, tanto no âmbito Geografia quanto em manuais específicos. O principal desafio foi realizar a verificação contemplando a observação não-participante, isto é, a apreensão de dados visuais, informações, documentos e a execução de campos reforçando a sensibilidade do olhar, padronizando seus focos a fim de se concentrarem em questões relevantes.
