Resumo: The Rãs river basin is in the middle course of the São Francisco River. The objective of the research is to understand the dynamics of the provision of environmental services related to carbon stocks in the Rãs river basin, in the semiarid region of Bahia.17 inventories, 280 plots and 17,745 individuals were used as a support base for the measurement of biomass and carbon stocks. 4,169,071.36 ton were quantified. and 3,088,494.09 ton. of carbon above the ground, with a valuation of 250 million dollars in the year 2019. However, there is a devaluation between the prices practiced in the carbon market in relation to the goals of the Paris Agreement (91.33%). For a fairer monetary distribution, referring to the PSA in the basin, the involvement of family farmers and traditional communities is recommended, to avoid a concentration of income and aggravate a historical scenario of socioeconomic exclusion.

El objetivo de la investigación fue estimar y analizar la dinámica de la provisión de servicios ambientales relacionados con las reservas de carbono en la cuenca del río Rãs, en la región semiárida de Bahia. Se utilizaron 17 inventarios, 280 parcelas y 17.745 individuos como base de apoyo para la medición de biomasa y existencias de carbono. Se cuantificaron 4.169.071,36 toneladas. de carbono sobre el suelo, con una valoración de 250 millones de dólares en el año 2019. Sin embargo, existe una devaluación entre los precios practicados en el mercado de carbono en relación a las metas del Acuerdo de París (91,33%). Para una distribución monetaria más justa, en referencia al Pago por Servicios Ambientales - PSA en la cuenca, se recomienda la participación de agricultores familiares y comunidades tradicionales, a fin de evitar una concentración de ingresos y agravar un escenario histórico de exclusión socioeconómica.A bacia hidrográfica do rio das Rãs localiza-se no curso médio do rio São Francisco. O objetivo da pesquisa foi estimar e analisar a dinâmica da prestação de serviços ambientais relativos aos estoques de carbono na bacia hidrográfica do rio das Rãs, semiárido baiano. Foram utilizados 17 inventários, 280 parcelas e 17.745 indivíduos como base de apoio à medição da biomassa e dos estoques de carbono. Foram quantificados 4.169.071,36 ton. e 3.088.494,09 ton. de carbono acima do solo, com a valoração de 250 milhões de dólares no ano de 2019. Porém, verifica-se a desvalorização entre os preços praticados no mercado de carbono em relação às metas do Acordo de Paris (91,33%).
