ANALYSIS OF THE LANDSCAPE IN COASTAL HYDROGRAPHIC BASINS AS A TOOL FOR UNDERSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY

Resumo: | The landscape says the anthropogenic impacts that affect water courses by land use and cover, and the analysis of its change in a watershed is a strategic tool to assess the quality of surface waters. The research aims to analyze the changes of the landscape in three watersheds between the years 2006 and 2016, relating to environmental quality assessed in loco. We investigated the watershed of the island of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis - SC, namely the rivers: Ratones, Itacorubi and Tavares. The LandSat satellite images from 2006 to 2016 were used for landscape analysis and associated to the application of the Rapid Assessment Protocol (RAP). It was noted that urban spots in the areas investigated had an increase of 319% basin River Tavares, 105% of the river Ratones and 8% in River Itacorubi, and changes in environmental quality. In these basins, we found factors that cause the degradation of water, including urbanization, deforestation of riparian forests, inefficiency of the treatment of domestic wastewater and solid waste disposal. The landscape analysis will serve to understand the future trend of this environmental quality forward to the changes proposed by the government. |

La investigación tiene como objetivo analizar los cambios del paisaje en tres cuencas hidrográficas en una década, entre 2006 y 2016, relacionándolos con la calidad ambiental evaluada in loco. Fueron investigadas las cuencas hidrográficas de la Isla de Santa Catarina, Florianópolis - SC, a saber, los ríos: Ratones, Itacorubi y Tavares. Las imágenes satelitales LandSat de 2006 a 2016 se utilizaron para el análisis del paisaje y se relacionaron con la aplicación del Protocolo de Evaluación Rápida (PER). Se observó que las áreas urbanas en las áreas investigadas aumentaron en un 319% en el CH del Río Tavares, en un 105% en el CH del Río Ratones y en un 8% en el CH del Río Itacorubi, además de cambios en la calidad ambiental. En estas cuencas se encontraron factores que provocan la degradación del agua, entre ellos: urbanización, deforestación de bosques ribereños, ineficiencia en el tratamiento de efluentes domésticos y disposición de residuos sólidos. El análisis del paisaje servirá para comprender la tendencia futura de esta calidad ambiental frente a los cambios propuestos por el poder público.A análise da mudança da paisagem de uma bacia hidrográfica é uma ferramenta estratégica para avaliar a qualidade das águas superficiais. A pesquisa tem o objetivo de analisar as mudanças das paisagens em três bacias hidrográficas entre os anos de 2006 e 2016, relacionando-as à qualidade ambiental avaliada in loco. Foram averiguadas bacias hidrográficas da Ilha de Santa Catarina, Florianópolis - SC, a saber, dos rios: Ratones, Itacorubi e Tavares. As imagens de satélite LandSat dos anos de 2006 a 2016 foram utilizadas para análise da paisagem e relacionadas com a aplicação do Protocolo de Avaliação Rápida (PAR). Notou-se que as manchas urbanas nas áreas investigadas sofreram aumento de 319% na BH do Rio Tavares, 105% na BH do Rio Ratones e 8% na BH do Rio Itacorubi, além de alteração na qualidade ambiental. Nessas bacias hidrográficas foram encontrados fatores que provocam a degradação das águas, entre eles: urbanização, desmatamento das matas ciliares, ineficiência do tratamento de efluentes domésticos e despejo de resíduos sólidos.
