Resumo: The concept of re-existence emerges in the Latin American context and its use has spread mainly in academic discussions, but it is born or inspired in the heart of social struggles. This article analyzes the various interpretations of this concept, the trajectory traveled and discusses its scope. As well as the differences between re-existence and resistance, but they are also placed in dialogue to show their complementarity. It is proposed that re-existence and resistance are processes that accumulate, overlap, incorporate, and renew, giving new meaning to existence and space, and therefore changing the strategies of territorialization, based on the past/tradition, in present struggles/conflicts and in projections/dreams/imaginations.

Neste artigo analisa-se as diversas interpretações desse conceito, a trajetória percorrida e discute-se seu alcance. Discutem-se as diferenças entre re-existência e resistência, mas colocam-se em diálogo para mostrar sua complementaridade. Propõe-se que re-existência e resistência são processos que se acumulam, se sobrepõem, incorporam, e renovam, dando novos sentidos à existência e ao espaço, e, portanto, mudando as estratégias de territorialização, com base no passado/tradição, nas lutas/conflitos presentes e nas projeções/sonhos/imaginações.El concepto de re-existencia emerge en el contexto latinoamericano y su uso se ha difundido sobre todo en discusiones académicas, pero nace o se inspira en el seno de las luchas sociales. En este artículo se analizan las diversas interpretaciones de ese concepto, la trayectoria recorrida y se discute su alcance. Así como las diferencias entre re-existencia y resistencia, pero también se colocan en dialogo para mostrar su complementariedad.
