Resumo: This article starts from the point of view held by Axel Honneth, in which Foucault and Habermas are understood as rival developments of the problematic fields open by Frankfurt School, Adorno and Horkheimer in particular. We propose that is the conduct in face of the Enlightenment that departs Habermas and Honneth from Foucault and also from Adorno and Horkheimer. We draw up, thus, a rapprochement between Foucault and the first generation of the Frankfurt School, which lean on initially on Honneth’s criticism toward one and the other one, then to overcome it, showing, at the same time, the common points – centered in the radical criticism of reason – and the reasons for consider them as responsible for distinct philosophical enterprise.
