Resumo: This study aimed to analyze inquiry activities produced by undergraduates of a Natural Sciences course regarding the presence of investigative elements. The research is qualitative and descriptive. Eight undergraduates from a Natural Sciences course at a federal university in the state of Paraná, Brazil, participated in the study. The undergraduates attended the training course on Teaching by Investigation given by researchers from three public universities and, at the end, produced inquiry activities that were the object of studies in this research. The criteria established for analyzing the activities were the organization of their structure and the relationship between the investigative elements present. The results show that there was greater clarity in the organization of the structure of activities and elaboration of the problem. The challenges were in terms of coordinating the investigative elements called formulation and confrontation of hypotheses, obtaining data and elaborating a conclusion.

A pesquisa é do tipo qualitativa e descritiva. Participaram do estudo oito licenciandos de um curso de Ciências da Natureza de uma universidade federal do estado do Paraná, Brasil. Os licenciandos frequentaram o curso de capacitação relativo ao Ensino por Investigação ministrado por pesquisadores de três universidades públicas e, ao final, produziram atividades investigativas que foram objeto de estudos desta pesquisa. Os critérios estabelecidos para análise das atividades foram a organização de sua estrutura e relação entre os elementos investigativos presentes. Os resultados demonstram que houve maior clareza na organização da estrutura das atividades e elaboração do problema. Os desafios foram quanto a coordenar os elementos investigativos denominados formulação e confronto de hipóteses, obtenção de dados e elaboração de conclusão. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar las actividades de investigación producidas por estudiantes de un curso de Ciencias Naturales con respecto a la presencia de elementos investigativos. La investigación es cualitativa y descriptiva. Participaron del estudio ocho estudiantes de grado de la carrera de Ciencias Naturales de una universidad federal del estado de Paraná, Brasil. Los estudiantes de grado asistieron al curso de formación en Enseñanza por Investigación impartido por investigadores de tres universidades públicas y, al final, produjeron actividades investigativas que fueron objeto de estudio en esta investigación. Los criterios establecidos para el análisis de las actividades fueron la organización de su estructura y la relación entre los elementos investigativos presentes.
