Resumo: This  paper  presents  a  bibliographical  review  regarding  the  transnational  history, treating  at  the  end  of  its  pertinence  for  the  overcoming  of  a  historiographical  nationalist perspective. In the first place, I try to differentiate the transnational history from other forms of post-national  historiography.  Next,  I  highlight  the  specificities  of  its  spatial  approach, addressing  its  emphasis  on  transnational  spaces  and  flows.  I  also  deal  with  the  multiscale perspective  that  characterizes  transnational  history,  before  finally  proposing  some  ways  in which this perspective can contribute to the overcoming of nationalist historiography.
