This paper aims to approach the process of the idealist formation of the young Delio Cantimori.In this way, I approach hisinclusionand the contacts realized into the the academic environment of Pisa, when he began to attend the Università di Pisaand the Scuola Normale Superiore , highlighting dialogues withcolleaguessuch asFausto Meli, Aldo Capitini, Claudio Baglietto, Varese and Ragghianti andtheteachers Giovanni Gentile and Giuseppe Saitta –both exponents of the current idealism and supporters offascist ideals –who hadinfluence in the intellectual and political trajectory of the young Delio Canti mori, especially in his adherence to the National Fascist Party, in his reflections about the State and in his historical studies about the Italian heretics from Cinquecento, inserted intothetraditional Italian historiographical debate on the relationship between Hu manism, Renaissance and the formation of the national conscience of the Italian people.
