Michel de Certeau and Psychoanalysis: Strategies of time and the borders between history and literature

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to analyze some of Michel de Certeau's texts gathered in the collection entitled “History and psychoanalysis: between science and fiction”; specially: "Psychoanalysis and history" and "The psychoanalytic 'novel': history and literature". We intend to demonstrate that, in his reflections on history and historiographical practice, Certeau had an intense use of Freudian theory and writing, since, in them, the historian found both the possibility of thinking about new temporalities that would characterize the historical discourse, as well as a theory of narrativity, which would be fundamental to understand the very status of writing of history.
