Resumo: | ABSTRACT: The article reflects on patriarchal stimuli of competition between women and the feminist effort to combat this competitiveness with its opposite - the deep and mutual union of women, which we call sorority. Besides, the aspects of the so-called "toxic masculinity" and assumptions aimed at the subordination of women are analyzed. An artistic action within the scope of the art performance, promoted by the Cabaré das Rachas Federal District women's clown group, had a clear prerogative to enhance the union between women performing artists and to challenge the "macho-culture" by satirizing it and mocking the standards they need to be destroyed. To think of art as an instrument of militancy and a means to address relevant issues such as gender oppression is what drives the text forward. Keywords: Feminism, sorority, militancy. |

THE FIGHT FOR SORORITY: Female union and an a militant experience in clowningLA LUCHA POR LA SORORIDAD: Unión femenina y una experiencia militante en payasadasA LUTA POR SORORIDADE: União feminina e uma experiência militante na palhaçariaABSTRACT: The article reflects on patriarchal stimuli of competition between women and the feminist effort to combat this competitiveness with its opposite - the deep and mutual union of women, which we call sorority.
