The partner’s participation in the humanization of delivery and their relation with the heath staff

Resumo: The humanization is understood as a mutual responsibility between health services and the community, and it consists of reception and resolutivity. The objective of this paper was to think about aspects concerning the involvement of the partner in humanized childbirth care and their interface with the health staff. The reflexion was based in the researchers experience and in an up-to-date literature. The text was organized in two parts: the partner as a factor for the humanization of childbirth and the partner of childbirth and their relation with the staff. The humanized care is important to make the delivery a positive and safe experience. Among the measures of the humanized delivery is the women´s right of choosing the natural delivery, and the one of being accompanied. The relationship between partner and health staff is complex, considering the limitation of the former participation in the delivery. It is a process which is being constructed, and it involves physical-environmental aspects of the health institutions, professional qualification, and the own culture of the users which is, until nowadays, very submissive before their rights as citizens. Se entiende por humanización la responsabilidad mutua entre los servicios de la salud y la comunidad y consiste en una asistencia que recibe, escucha y trae respuesta positiva. El objetivo de este artículo fue investigar aspectos referentes a la participación del acompañante en la atención del parto humanizado y su interfaz con el equipo de cuidados. Reflexión basada en la experiencia de los pesquisadores y en la literatura especializada. El texto se organiza en dos partes: el acompañante como parte de la humanización del nacimiento y el acompañante del nacimiento y su relación con el equipo de cuidados. La asistencia humanizada es importante para que el parto sea una experiencia positiva y segura. Entre las medidas del parto humanizado se destaca el derecho de la mujer para que esta decida por el parto natural y sea acompañada. La relación entre acompañante y equipo de salud es compleja, dada la limitación de la participación del primero en el contexto del parto. Se trata de un proceso en construcción, involucrando aspectos físicos y ambientales de las instituciones de salud, calificación de los profesionales y de la propia cultura de las usuarias que aún siguen comportándose de manera muy sumisa con relación a sus derechos como ciudadana. A humanização é entendida como responsabilização mútua entre serviços de saúde e a comunidade e consiste em acolhimento e resolutividade. O objetivo deste artigo foi refletir sobre a participação do acompanhante na humanização do parto e nascimento e sobre a sua interface com a equipe de saúde. Reflexão baseada na experiência dos pesquisadores e na literatura atualizada. Organizou-se o texto com abordagem nas temáticas: a participação do acompanhante na humanização do parto e nascimento e o acompanhante no processo de parturição e sua interface com a equipe de saúde. O atendimento humanizado é importante para que o parto seja uma experiência satisfatória e segura para a mulher e seu filho. Entre as medidas do parto humanizado destaca-se o direito da mulher decidir pelo parto natural e de ser acompanhada durante o processo de parturição. A relação entre o acompanhante e a equipe de saúde é complexa, dada a limitação de sua participação no contexto do parto. Trata-se de processo em construção, envolvendo aspectos físico-ambientais das instituições de saúde, qualificação dos profissionais de saúde e da própria cultura das usuárias, que mantém muito arraigada a atitude submissa diante de seus direitos como cidadãs.
