Resumo: The body represents a link, and also the first contact with the environment, with the world. The study proposed here has as its main objective to demonstrate how the relationship between the body and the world is capable of producing, in communicative interactions, new metaphorical and metonymic words and expressions related to the parts of the human body. Thus, the symbiotic interaction capable of generating linguistic production is observed. To develop the research, lists of metaphoric and metonymic words and expressions were collected in two Portuguese language dictionaries, Aurélio and Houaiss, both in digital media. Thus, lexical items occupy a position of meaning no longer parts of the body, but a similarity or semantic condensation with other elements of the environment. This is the case, for example: manpower; toddy's foot, windswept etc. The study of the interaction between body and world is not new, especially in the field of metaphors and metonymies. However, the phenomenon now proposed for discussion is, as it is guided by the perspective of Ecolinguistics with the Theory of Anthropology of the Imaginary. The first establishes the relationship between language and environment/world, a relationship that has been occupying space in studies since 1990, in Brazil. Names such as Edward Sapir and Einar Haugen served to enhance the science of Ecolinguistics, which in itself configures syncretic, as it incorporated concepts from other theories. The second offers a look at the imagery and symbolic capital of the human being. Both fields of knowledge understand that the body occupies a natural position, inevitably linked to the natural environment in interaction with the social environment. The object of our analysis, body parts in metaphoric and metonymic linguistic expressions, led us to some concerns that allowed us to do this study, based on the following question: how do human body parts help to produce metaphoric/metonymic words and expressions in Brazilian portuguese? As a result, it is possible to state that metaphorical and metonymic expressions are recycled and adapted from parts of the human body; also that there is an ecosystem relationship between mental ecosystem, social ecosystem and natural ecosystem in the production of these same expressions; We also came to the conclusion that the symbolism of the parts of the human body represents the abstract field of language, being responsible, therefore, for helping to build metaphorical and metonymic expressions linked to the body. This study was based on the perspective of Ecosystem Linguistics and Theory of the Imaginary. To develop the research, we resorted to some authors who were fundamental: Couto (2007 and 2016) and Durand (2012). The first is considered one of the great representatives of Ecosystem Linguistics in Brazil, his studies have collaborated enormously with theoretical refinements for the area. The second was important to reflect on the Anthropology of the Imaginary. The work was based on a qualitative methodological approach and an ecomethodological approach (inductive and deductive multilateral view), as it moves away from polarized/radicalized views. Finally, it is important to emphasize the inconclusive nature of this work, as the perspectives we bring here serve as possibilities to boost future research.

The second was important to reflect on the Anthropology of the Imaginary. Finally, it is important to emphasize the inconclusive nature of this work, as the perspectives we bring here serve as possibilities to boost future research.O corpo representa um elo, e também o primeiro contato com o meio ambiente, com o mundo. Submitted by Franciele Moreira (francielemoreyra@gmail.com) on 2021-06-24T21:09:32Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertação - Eduwesley Pereira da Silva - 2021.pdf: 1213484 bytes, checksum: c54edb383a0b28a28589bb1eb5b8a53b (MD5) license_rdf: 805 bytes, checksum: 4460e5956bc1d1639be9ae6146a50347 (MD5)Rejected by Luciana Ferreira (lucgeral@gmail.com), reason: FALTOU P LATTES DO ORIENTADOR E REGISTROU O ORCID NO CAMPO DO LATTES on 2021-06-25T14:07:20Z (GMT)Submitted by Franciele Moreira (francielemoreyra@gmail.com) on 2021-06-29T22:00:24Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertação - Eduwesley Pereira da Silva - 2021.pdf: 1213484 bytes, checksum: c54edb383a0b28a28589bb1eb5b8a53b (MD5) license_rdf: 805 bytes, checksum: 4460e5956bc1d1639be9ae6146a50347 (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Luciana Ferreira (lucgeral@gmail.com) on 2021-06-30T13:23:56Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 2 Dissertação - Eduwesley Pereira da Silva - 2021.pdf: 1213484 bytes, checksum: c54edb383a0b28a28589bb1eb5b8a53b (MD5) license_rdf: 805 bytes, checksum: 4460e5956bc1d1639be9ae6146a50347 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2021-06-30T13:23:56Z (GMT).
