CONTEXT AND DEPLOYMENTS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE BRAZILIAN LITERACY MOVEMENT - MOBRAL - NO CEARÁ: PERCEPTIONS OF SUBJECTS INVOLVED

Resumo: In Brazil, there have already been several attempts to eradicate illiteracy among young people and adults through many programs, one of them being very significant, the Brazilian Movement of Literacy - MOBRAL. It was a Program that managed to expand even in the most distant cities of the interior of Brazil. Aware of this reality, the general objective of the work is to situate the political, economic and educational context of the State of Ceará at the time MOBRAL was implemented. It also aims to present popular education movements that occurred before the Military Coup, and also what was happening in the context of Ceará through reports from educators. The qualitative study was theoretically supported by authors such as Paiva (1981), Jannuzzi (1987), Farias (2009) and Gomes (2012). It was used as a source of data collection, interviews done by NUDOC / UFC, with people who worked in the State Education Department. The analysis of the data points to changes in the way education was being conducted in the State at the moment when the dictatorship settles in the Country. The work that was done by these educators had to be interrupted by the fact that their ideas confronted with the ideology of the military.  KEYWORDS: Youth and Adult Education. MOBRAL. Context Cearense.En Brasil, ha habido varios intentos de erradicar el analfabetismo de jóvenes y adultos a través de muchos programas, uno de los cuales es muy significativo, el Movimiento Brasileño de Alfabetización - MOBRAL. Fue un Programa que logró expandirse incluso en las ciudades más distantes del interior de Brasil. Consciente de esta realidad, el trabajo tiene como objetivo general ubicar el contexto político, económico y educativo del Estado de Ceará en el momento en que se implementó MOBRAL. También pretende dar a conocer los movimientos de educación popular que ocurrieron antes del Golpe Militar, y también lo que estaba sucediendo en el contexto de Ceará a través de informes de educadores. El estudio cualitativo fue apoyado teóricamente por autores como: Paiva (1981), Jannuzzi (1987), Farias (2009) y Gomes (2012). Las entrevistas realizadas por NUDOC / UFC se utilizaron como fuente de recopilación de datos con personas que trabajaban en el Departamento de Educación del Estado. El análisis de los datos apunta a cambios en la forma en que se llevaba a cabo la educación en el Estado en el momento en que se instaló la dictadura en el país. La labor que realizaban estos educadores tuvo que ser interrumpida por el hecho de que sus ideas con la ideología de los militares.  PALABRAS CLAVE: Educación de Jóvenes y Adultos. MOBRAL. Contexto Cearense.No Brasil, houve diversas tentativas de erradicar o analfabetismo de jovens e adultos por meio de vários programas, sendo um deles o Movimento Brasileiro de Alfabetização (MOBRAL). Esse foi um Programa que conseguiu se expandir até nas mais distantes cidades do interior do Brasil. Ciente desta realidade, o trabalho tem por objetivo geral situar o contexto político, econômico e educacional do Estado do Ceará à época em que o MOBRAL foi implantado. Objetiva ainda apresentar movimentos de educação popular que ocorreram antes do Golpe Civil Militar de 1964, e também o que estava acontecendo no contexto cearense por meio de relatos de educadores. O estudo, qualitativo, respaldou-se teoricamente em autores como: Paiva (1981), Jannuzzi (1987), Farias (2009) e Gomes (2012). Utilizou-se como fonte de coleta de dados entrevistas feitas pelo NUDOC/UFC com pessoas que trabalharam na Secretaria de Educação do Estado no período estudado. A análise dos dados aponta para mudanças no modo como a educação vinha sendo conduzida pelo Estado no momento em que a Ditadura se instaura no País. O trabalho que anteriormente era realizado por esses educadores foi interrompido pelo fato de suas ideias confrontarem a ideologia dos militares.   PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Educação de Jovens e Adultos.
