THE USE OF DIGITAL REPOSITORIES IN RESEARCH ON THE HISTORY OF MATHEMATICS EDUCATION: REFLECTIONS SUPPORTED BY DIGITAL CURATION

Resumo: This article aims to problematize issues related to the use of digital repositories in research in the History of matHEMatics education, using research sources that are available virtually, in turn digitized, and which become digital objects. The work is based on the historiographical operation of Certeau (2013), on the Digital Curation preservation cycle (DCC, 2023) and presents some investigations carried out by members of GHEMAT-Brazil who made use of the Digital Content Repository. Analysis of the work demonstrates methodological gaps in the treatment of digital sources, and it is proposed that procedural protocols be created based on the stages of the digital Curation preservation cycle. It is concluded that the way digital objects are treated, the organization of metadata, as well as their storage, privileges these actions with digital objects, adding value to digitally available items, imposing the need for rigor in working with such objects. El trabajo se basa en la operación historiográfica de Certeau (2013), sobre el ciclo de preservación de la Curación Digital (DCC, 2023) y presenta algunas investigaciones realizadas por miembros del GHEMAT-Brasil que hicieron uso del Repositorio de Contenidos Digitales. El análisis del trabajo demuestra vacíos metodológicos en el tratamiento de las fuentes digitales y se propone la creación de protocolos de procedimiento basados ​​en las etapas del ciclo de preservación de la Curación digital. Se concluye que la forma en que se tratan los objetos digitales, la organización de los metadatos, así como su almacenamiento, privilegia estas acciones con los objetos digitales, agregando valor a los elementos disponibles digitalmente, imponiendo la necesidad de rigor en el trabajo con dichos objetos. PALABRAS CLAVE: Procedimientos Metodológicos; Repositorio de Contenidos Digitales; Ciclo de Conservación.O presente artigo tem como objetivo problematizar questões relacionadas ao uso dos repositórios digitais nas pesquisas de História da Educação Matemática, utilizando-se de fontes de pesquisas que estão disponíveis de maneira virtual, por sua vez digitalizadas, e que se tornam objetos digitais. O trabalho apoia-se na operação historiográfica de Certeau (2013), no ciclo de preservação da Curadoria Digital (DCC, 2023) e apresenta algumas investigações realizadas por membros do GHEMAT-Brasil que fizeram uso do Repositório de Conteúdo Digital. As análises dos trabalhos demonstram lacunas de ordem metodológica no tratamento das fontes digitais e se propõe que sejam criados protocolos procedimentais fundamentados nas etapas do ciclo de preservação da Curadoria Digital. Conclui-se que a forma de tratamento dos objetos digitais, a organização dos metadados, bem como seu armazenamento, privilegiam essas ações com objetos digitais, agregando valor aos itens disponíveis digitalmente, indicando a necessidade de um rigor no trabalho com tais objetos.
