Resumo: | The text aims to undertake a study on the location of Italian schools in the neighborhoods of São Paulo city, as well as on the organization of their spaces and times, between the final decades of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, a period of expressive emigration from the Italian Peninsula and arrival of immigrants in São Paulo. This study is anchored in the references of Cultural History, History of Immigration and History of Education. The documental corpus comprises the book Il Brasile e gli italiani, publication by the editorial team of the Fanfulla newspaper, photographs, consular reports, professors' reports, Public Instruction Yearbooks, books, press, among others. The Italian schools were generally the trustworthy expression of the neighborhoods where they were located, and little or nothing distanced themselves from the physical and pedagogical structure of a large part of the public schools in São Paulo city. São Paulo.El texto tiene como objetivo realizar un estudio sobre la ubicación de las escuelas italianas en los barrios de la ciudad de São Paulo, así como sobre la organización de sus espacios y tiempos, entre las últimas décadas del siglo XIX y principios del XX, período de emigración expresiva de la península italiana y llegada de inmigrantes a São Paulo. Este estudio está anclado en las referencias de Historia Cultural, Historia de la Inmigración e Historia de la Educación. El corpus documental comprende la obra Il Brasile e gli italiani, publicación del equipo editorial del diario Fanfulla, fotografías, informes consulares, informes de profesores, Anuarios de Instrucción Pública, libros, prensa, entre otros. Las escuelas italianas fueron en general la expresión confiable de los barrios donde se ubicaban, y poco o nada se distanciaron de la estructura física y pedagógica de gran parte de las escuelas públicas de São Paulo. Este artigo tem por objetivo empreender um estudo sobre a localização das escolas italianas nos bairros da cidade de São Paulo, bem como sobre a organização de seus espaços e tempos, entre as décadas finais do século XIX e o início do século XX, período de expressiva emigração da Península Itálica e chegada de imigrantes em São Paulo. O presente estudo está ancorado nos referenciais da História Cultural, História da Imigração e História da Educação. O corpus documental é composto pela obra Il Brasile e gli italiani, publicação da equipe editorial do jornal Fanfulla, fotografias, relatórios consulares, relatórios de professores, Anuários da Instrução Pública, livros, imprensa dentre outros. As escolas italianas geralmente eram a expressão fidedigna dos bairros onde se localizavam, e pouco ou nada se distanciavam da estrutura física e pedagógica de grande parte das escolas públicas paulistas.
