The concept of habitus is undoubtedly one of the fundamental tools provided by the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. Much discussion has taken place around this concept. We take it, to make a further redefinition through the incorporation of intersectionality. As a result of fieldwork that sought to reconstruct the educational trajectories of 36 upper-class families over three generations, it was possible to gain access to the meanings and representations of these families in the city of Cordoba. On this occasion we will focus on the lived senses of two middle-class students who attended these elite schools with scholarships, in order to relate the marks left on subjectivity by the social distance between two different class habitus, and the severe effects on the process of integration of these young people in the group.
