ACHIEVEMENT OF THE APPROACH OF CHILDREN'S TENNIS PLAYERS IN TRAINING SITUATIONS: ANALYSIS OF DECISION MAKING IN CRITICAL SCENARIOS

Resumo: | The present study aimed to analyze the performance of the actions of approximation, the ascent to the network, and volley in a critical scenario during the training situation. Seventeen athletes were analyzed during tie-break games of up to 10 points, totaling 696 ball changes, of which 137 allowed the approach. Eight categories of observation were used to evaluate decision-making, adjustment and effectiveness of actions. Our data show that the young tennis players analyzed used the approach in 9.5% of the favorable situations, achieving, in 53.8% of the critical scenarios, to effect the tactical action. It is suggested that coaches emphasize critical scenarios in their training to stimulate the reading of the game situation of their athletes. |

Diecisiete atletas fueron analizados durante los juegos de tie-break de hasta 10 puntos, totalizando 696 cambios de balón, de los cuales 137 permitieron el approach. Se utilizaron ocho categorías de observación para evaluar la toma de decisiones, el ajuste y la efectividad de las acciones. Nuestros datos muestran que los jóvenes tenistas analizados utilizaron el approach en el 9,5% de las situaciones favorables, logrando, en el 53,8% de los escenarios críticos, efectuar la acción táctica. Se sugiere que los entrenadores enfaticen escenarios críticos en su entrenamiento para estimular la lectura de la situación de juego de sus atletas.O presente estudo objetivou analisar a realização das ações de approach, subida à rede, e voleio em um cenário crítico durante situação de treino. Dezessete atletas foram analisados durante jogos tie-break de até 10 pontos, totalizando 696 trocas de bolas, das quais 137 possibilitaram o approach. Foram utilizadas oito categorias de observação para avaliar a tomada de decisão, o ajuste e a eficácia das ações. Nossos dados evidenciam que os jovens tenistas analisados utilizaram o approach em 9,5% das situações favoráveis, conseguindo, em 53,8% dos cenários críticos, efetivar a ação tática.
