The Agroecological Interinstitutional Fair: alternatives for the construction of Food Sovereignty in the Metropolitan Region of Goiânia

Resumo: This article deals with the socio-environmental and health issues triggered by the structuring of Agribusiness in Brazil and especially in the Midwest and in Goiás. The issues are discussed in the light of the concepts of Territory and Food Sovereignty, presenting a brief history of the awareness of civil society about the harms of this model fostered by the global agri-food empire. In this context, we bring reflections on strategic practices for the construction of Food Sovereignty in the Metropolitan Region of Goiânia. The experience of the Agroecological Interinstitutional Fair, based on the teaching-research-extension tripod, is presented and discussed. Based on this experience, the objective was to analyze how this articulation can enhance the possibility of access to healthy food, broadening the debate on the importance of its consumption, based on the educational role provided by the farmer / consumer approach. Los temas se discuten a la luz de los conceptos de Territorio y Soberanía Alimentaria, presentando una breve historia de sensibilización. sociedad civil sobre los perjuicios de este modelo impulsado por el imperio agroalimentario mundial. En este contexto, traemos reflexiones sobre prácticas estratégicas para la construcción de la Soberanía Alimentaria en la Región Metropolitana de Goiânia. Se presenta y discute la experiencia de la Feria Interinstitucional Agroecológica, basada en el trípode enseñanza-investigación-extensión. A partir de esta experiencia, el objetivo fue analizar cómo esta articulación puede potenciar la posibilidad de acceso a alimentos saludables, ampliando el debate sobre la importancia de su consumo, a partir del rol educativo que brinda el enfoque agricultor / consumidor. Palabras clave: producción agroecológica; agricultura campesina; extensión Universitaria; desarrollo socio-territorial.Este artigo versa sobre as problemáticas socioambientais, bem como os efeitos para a saúde, desencadeadas pela estruturação do agronegócio no Brasil, em especial em Goiás e Centro-Oeste brasileiro. As problemáticas são discutidas à luz dos conceitos de território e soberania alimentar e apresentam um breve histórico da tomada de consciência da sociedade civil sobre os malefícios deste modelo fomentado pelo Império Agroalimentar global. Neste contexto, realizam-se reflexões sobre as práticas estratégicas para a construção da soberania alimentar na Região Metropolitana de Goiânia. É apresentada e discutida a experiência da Feira Interinstitucional Agroecológica, pautada no tripé ensino-pesquisa-extensão. Com base nesta experiência, o objetivo central do presente artigo, foi o de analisar como a articulação construída pode potencializar a possibilidade de acesso à alimentação saudável, ampliando o debate sobre a importância do seu consumo, a partir do papel educativo propiciado pela aproximação agricultor/a – consumidor/a.
