The use of one historical geography methodology in a recent time: the situation of Brasília/DF in the period of 1964 to 1988

Resumo: This article deals with the territorial formation of the Federal District and does so from the methodological bases of Historical Geography. It establishes analysis in the period 1964 to 1988 and fragments, for primary data research purposes, the spatial cut according to the Administrative Regions formally defined by the Federal District (DF). It presents a contextualization at three scalar levels (global, national and local), identifies the agents of space production for the period in focus, raising the main roles assumed by them and deepens the analysis in the demographic data, evaluating the role of the immigrant public in the occupation and production of the space of Brasília. The study of the results of the primary and secondary research allows us to draw some considerations about the main spatial transformations at the end of the established period, especially regarding to the physical occupation of the region around the “Pilot Plan” of Brasilia. Establece el análisis en el período de 1964 a 1988 y fragmenta, para fines de investigación primaria de datos, el recorte espacial de acuerdo con las Regiones Administrativas formalmente definidas por el gobierno del DF. Presenta una contextualización en tres niveles escalares (mundial, nacional y local), identifica a los agentes de producción del espacio para el período en foco, suscitando los principales papeles por ellos asumidos y profundiza el análisis en los datos demográficos evaluando el papel del público inmigrante en la ocupación y producción del espacio de Brasilia. El estudio de los resultados de la investigación primaria y secundaria permite trazar algunas consideraciones acerca de las principales transformaciones espaciales al final del período establecido,sobretodo en lo que concierne a la ocupación física de la región del entorno del Plano Piloto de Brasilia. Estabelece análises no período de 1964 a 1988 e fragmenta, para fins de pesquisa primária de dados, o recorte espacial de acordo com as Regiões Administrativas formalmente definidas pelo governo do DF. Apresenta uma contextualização em três níveis escalares (mundial, nacional e local), identifica os agentes de produção do espaço para o período em foco, suscitando os principais papeis por eles assumidos e aprofunda a análise nos dados demográficos avaliando o papel do público imigrante na ocupação e produção do espaço de Brasília. O estudo dos resultados da pesquisa primária e secundária permite traçar algumas considerações acerca das principais transformações espaciais ao final do período estabelecido, mormente no tocante à ocupação física da região do entorno do Plano Piloto de Brasília.
