Resumo: An experiment was conducted using samples of three ranches in Rio Verde, Goiás State, to study the mineral contents. Forage and liver samples were collected from each ranch (cows and calves). A large portion of the soil samples presented low levels of zinc. Forage and liver zinc levels were adequate, but forage and liver cobalt levels were deficient.

Foi realizado um levantamento das deficiências minerais de três fazendas do município de Rio Verde, Goiás, através de amostragem de solo, forragem e fígado. Os resultados revelaram que a maioria das amostras de solo foram deficientes em zinco. Entretanto, as amostras de forragens e fígado tiveram valores dentro de limites considerados normais.
