Resumo: A study to determine mineral contents in cattle was conducted in three farms of Rio Verde, State of Goiás, Brazil. Soil, forage and liver samples were collected from each farm (cows and calves). Forage Mn contents were adequate for beef cattle. High levels in Fe on one farm was considered toxic for the grazing cattle. Liver levels in Fe were high in all samples.

Foram feitas amostragens de solo, forragem e fígado (biópsia) em três fazendas representativas do município de Rio Verde, Goiás, com o objetivo de determinar os níveis e possíveis deficiências de minerais na nutrição dos bovinos. Os resultados mostraram que a concentração de manganês nas forragens estão em níveis adequados para bovinos de corte.
