Resumo: This experiment was conducted in three farms in Rio Verde, Goiás. Were collected liver and serum samples from 10 cows and 10 calves in each farm. The results show that there is no correlation between liver and serum copper levels. The copper levels in liver samples were adequate.

Em um experimento realizado em três fazendas do município de Rio Verde, Goiás, foram escolhidas aleatoriamente dez vacas e dez bezerros em cada propriedade e realizada biópsia de fígado com a finalidade de determinar o teor de cobre no soro sangüíneo dos mesmos. Os resultados mostram que não houve correlação entre os teores de cobre sangüíneo e hepático. O teor de cobre hepático foi mais elevado nos bezerros que nas vacas.
