Resumo: The estimate of the equations of intense rains was proceeded for some places of the State of Goiás using the methodology of the disaggregation of the rain of 24 hours that allowed the comparison of the results of the maximum precipitation intensities obtained by the equations with those obtained by equations adjusted based on recording gage data. The methodology of this study allowed to generate the relationship intensityduration-frequency based on pluviometric data, and it showed tobe adapted with values of ERM smaller than 14,4%, what allows its use in places where there is not readiness of registrations recording gage. Procedeu-se à estimativa das equações de chuvas intensas para algumas localidades do Estado de Goiás com o emprego da metodologia da desagregação da chuva de 24 horas, o que permitiu a comparação dos resultados das intensidades de precipitação máximas obtidas pelas equações com as obtidas pelas equações ajustadas com base em dados de pluviogramas. A metodologia empregada neste estudo permitiu gerar a relação intensidadeduração-freqüência com base em dados pluviométricos e se mostrou adequada com valores de ERM menores que 14,4%, o que permite sua utilização em localidades em que não há disponibilidade de registros pluviográficos.
