Resumo: According to the soybean crop expansion in the Goiás State, the necessity of knowledge about the principal soybean pests and their natural enemies were done in order to proceed an effective and rational control about them. Collects were done during the 1977/78, 1978/79 and 1979/80 planting at the Experimental Station in Santa Helena — Goiás. Experimental field (EMGOPA), Goiás. The principal pests were found: Anticarsia gemmatalis (Hubner. 1818), Pseudoplusia includens (Walker, 1857), Diabrotica speciosa (Germ., 1824), Cerotoma sp., Piezodorus guildini (West., 1837), Euschistus heros (Fabr., 1798) and Nezara viridula (L., 1758), and the natural enemies: Nomuraea rileyi (Farlow) Samson, Entomophtora sp., Nabis spp, Callida sp, aracnidae, dermaptera and a nuclear polyhedrosis virus (NPV).

Tendo em vista a expansão da soja no Estado de Goiás, fez-se necessário o conhecimento das principais pragas desta cultura, bem como de seus inimigos naturais, para que se possa efetuar um controle mais racional e efetivo. Foram feitas coletas nos anos agrícolas de 1977/78, 1978/79 e 1979/80, no Campo Experimental da EMGOPA, em Santa Helena de Goiás. As principais pragas constatadas foram Anticarsia gematalis (Hubner, 1818), Pseudoplusia includens (Walker,1857), Diabrotica speciosa (Germ. , 1824), Cerotoma sp.,Piezodorus guildinii (West. 1837), Euschistus heros (Fabr., 1798) e Nezara viridula (L. , 1758).
